Father, mother killed in crash on Mother’s Day, one person charged with murder

A father, a mother and a toddler have been killed in a crash on Mothers Day.

A car collided with a bus on a motorway in Chesterfield, near Chesterfield in Sussex.

The toddler was taken to hospital in a critical condition and died from her injuries.

Police said the driver of the bus was not injured.

More: The father and his daughter, both aged between eight and 10, were in the passenger seat when the bus collided with the stationary bus.

They were on their way home from a day out with friends when they collided.

Two people in the vehicle were taken to Chesterfield hospital in serious condition and one was later discharged.

No one has been arrested.

We are treating this as a road traffic accident and are currently liaising with the road traffic management company.”
