BERNIE SANDERS has slammed Donald Trump, claiming that the Republican presidential candidate “is not a white supremacist” and that he has “been called a racist, a sexist, and an anti-Semite” in a series of tweets.
The Democratic presidential candidate tweeted on Tuesday morning that Trump has been called a “racist, a misogynist, and a anti-Semitic” on his Twitter account.
“This is not the first time we have seen Trump’s racist rhetoric,” she said.
“This is the first instance where it’s coming from him, not the people who are his supporters.
It really is.”
She continued:”It’s been a few days since Trump has tweeted something about me and that’s something that I will never forget.”
“The other thing is, in his first tweets, he has referred to the mothers of fallen police officers as a bunch of ‘dogs’ and referred to Muslims as ‘terrorists’.
These are not the words of someone who is a supporter of the American police and law enforcement.
He’s also called me ‘a bad person’ and ‘a racist’, and has called me a liar and a ‘fraud’.””
The fact that he’s so anti-police, he’s not anti-black, he does not want to tackle the systemic racism that exists in our society, I think is really important.
And the fact that the media has failed to report that, that’s what is important.””
When he speaks about Black Lives Matter, he doesn’t talk about the Black lives that have been lost,” she added.
Trump’s campaign has not responded to the claims.ABC News has reached out to the Trump campaign for comment.
